Flomax Crohn’s Disease
Flomax Crohn’s Disease A Form Of Colitis AKA Flomax Colitis
|
Flomax Crohn's Disease is a form of colitis, which is symptomized by transmural infection, and inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Being an IBD (a bowel disease), it can affect any part of the body – from the mouth to the anus. The root cause of the Crohn Disease is yet unknown at large with some scientists inferring that there could be a possibility of genetic mutations being associated closely with this disease. What are the symptoms? Gastrointestinal Symptoms – The initial symptom found in patients suffering from Flomax Crohns Disease is abdominal pain. This pain is generally followed by diarrhea. Depending on the complexity of the case, the patient's stool sample may show traces of blood. In some cases, irritation and itchiness around the anal area are also found as symptoms of Crohn Disease. Systemic Symptoms – As Flomax Crohns Disease is a chronic disease, meaning ongoing, it can cause some systemic disorders as well. Crohns manifests itself as different symptoms according to age levels. This disease is identified by the failure of children to maintain their rate of growth. In certain cases, children also complain of high fever in their bodies and this is due to the excessive abscess in their body. In the case of adults, the most common symptom is weight loss. This can be directly related to loss in appetite. Since Crohns Disease goes on to influence the intestines of adults, as strange as it may appear, a cross section of adult sufferers of the illness feel that they could maintain control of symptoms if they did not eat. This obviously is not a solution; the only real solution is what both the sufferer and the treating physician decide on as the appropriate treatment. Extra-intestinal Symptoms – Flomax Crohns Disease just does not impact only the intestines. In certain cases, this also impacts the eyes causing uveitis ( inflammation in the inner portion of the eye) and episcleritis (inflammation on the white part of the eye). In some cases, this has gone on to impact the spinal cord as well causing inflammation of joints or muscle insertions. Close to 15% of the patients diagnosed as suffering from Crohns Disease have been treated with symptoms of seizures, strokes, myopathy, headache and depression all leading us to believe that this disease impacts the nerve cells too. With Flomax Crohn's Disease being also responsible for affecting mechanical functions of the body in some cases, it is extremely important, that detection is done at a very early stage and the disease cured by a trained physician. Generally, anti-inflammatory drugs treat Crohn's Disease but in some complex cases, this is treated with surgery, however that should not be the first choice of treatment. It is simply a possible last option for those with severe symptoms that are not responding to other forms of treatment. Colitis | |
