Tomato, tomato', does it really matter which way you call it because either way, colitis disease ulcerative or ulcerative colitis disease is one that mostly infects intestines, but due to its systemic nature, it goes on to impact other parts of the body.

Since ulcerative colitis is an extra-intestinal disease, it even goes on to affect the mouth, spinal cord, joints in the hands knees, and eyes. Different disorders are caused in these organs due to ulcerative colitis. Generically, an ulcerative colitis may show traces of blood in his stools, which are diarrheic in nature. On conducting a rectal examination of the patient, blood traces can usually be found. A patient suffering from Ulcerative Colitis first awareness of the disorder usually presents itself with abdominal pain, which in many cases is then historically followed by sudden weight loss.

How can Colitis Disease Ulcerative be treated?

Ulcerative colitis can be treated by a doctor prescribing anti-inflammatory drugs to the patients. In certain cases where treatment is required to be for the short-run, corticosteroids can be administered to the patient. Immune suppression drugs are used as well for treating ulcerative colitis. In highly complex cases, the surgical option is used by doctors to remove traces of ulcerative colitis from the bowels.

Ulcerative Colitis occurs in discreet intervals in the patients suffering from this disease. What causes the onset of a colitis disease ulcerative attack is not known because it could be a variety of contributing factors. The fact that its symptoms are not continuous does not mean that a patient should treat an occurrence of symptoms casually.
