Celebrex is a brand of drug available in the market and medically known as Celecoxib capsules. It forms a part of a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). The fact that it is an anti-inflammatory drug renders it extremely useful to counter the dangerous effects of Ischemic Colitis. Most importantly, disorders in the hereditary polyps in the colon can be treated using Celebrex.

What is Ischemic Colitis?

Affecting the large intestine, Ischemic Colitis refers to a disorder that causes inflammation and injury of the large intestine. Most commonly, it occurs in people over 50. Its cause is impaired flood flow to the colon, which can result in ulceration of the lining of the colon. The onset of Ischemic Cilitis can be brief or long term, its symptoms can be mild or severe.

    1.Whether you have a history of heart attack (s) or blood clot
    2.If you have a history of stomach ulcers.
    3. If you have polyps in your nose.
    4. If you ever had a seizure disorder such as epileptic fits.

    There are many other factors like asthma, any liver disease must be considered by the doctor before prescribing Celebrex. It is most important to note that if a patient has ticked off any of the above mentioned factors, Celebrex may not be prescribed to him the patient. In special cases, special dosage adjustments can be made before prescribing Celebrex to the patient.
